A patient with Chronic Obstructive Pulomonary Disease (COPD) attended our pulmonary rehabilitation programme and completion of the programme showed improvements in breathing (SATS) and an increased walking distance. 

The patient was so motivated by his rehabilitation programme that he has signed up to exercise daily at Heart Care on our After Care Walsall programme. 

He also suffers with depression due to loneliness and is keen to continue to exercise at Heart Care both to improve his fitness and wellbeing! 

By coming to Heart care he is able to meet people and in his words  ‘gets him out of the house’.
