Update 4th January 2021

England will be in a National Lockdown from Wednesday 6th January which means gyms cannot open so Heart Care has to remain shut for After Care Patients. We are of course following government guidelines and ask you to keep up to date with our website www.heartcare.org.uk and Facebook pages for a notice of when we are allowed to open. Whilst we are temporarily closed we still strongly ecourage you to take part in our exercise videos, go for walks and keep active. We also have an excellent Web-based Programme for After Care Patients designed by our Exercise Physiologists and you can join this at a monthly charge of just £15.00.

December Update

Following the recent government announcement, the Trustees at Heart Care Healthy Living have given the situation a lot of thought and consideration and consequently have decided not to reopen our Walsall and Streetly units for After Care Patients at this time.  The reasoning behind this is due to the fact that our Christmas closing time runs from 21st December to 4th January, therefore we would have only been able to re-open for 2 weeks prior to this date anyway.  The government website states that people who wish to 'bubble' for Christmas need to be thinking about this 2 weeks before and we are mindful that some of our patients may be wanting to do this and therefore this is a major factor in making the decision to close.  We will review the situation week commencing 4th January hopefully with a view to being able to re-open early January dependant on government guidelines.

We can understand that many of you will be dissapointed with the decison but I am sure you can understand our reasonong behind it.  We are also mindful that some of you are still continuing with your monthly subscriptions and want to say that we are extremely grateful for your continued support.

As a charity we are currently going though a period of hardship and any support you can give to support our Heart Care Emegency appeal is greatly appreciated.  Whilst we are temporarily closed we still strongly ecourage you to take part in our exercise videos, go for walks and keep as active as you can.  You can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

Web Based Programme

Please don’t forget, we do have an excellent Web-based Programme for After Care Patients designed by our Exercise Physiologists and you can join this at a monthly charge of just £15.00. We use virtual fitness software for our online programme so if you would like to register, please click the button below and select the package "Heart Care Web Based After Care"
