Home Exercise Videos

We have put together some home exercise videos for you to follow. Here are some important things to remember before you take part:

  • If you have any chest discomfort whilst following the videos, please stop exercise. Follow your GTN protocol if the discomfort remains after 5 minutes rest.
  • Stop exercise if you feel dizzy, lightheaded or short of breath, make sure you have a chair to sit on, if needed.
  • Some exercises may not be appropriate for everyone, we have tried to add different levels for difficulty, level 1 being the easiest, building up to level 4, which requires more balance and coordination.
  • Some of the videos we will upload are not follow along and require you to pause the video or repeat when it has completed.
  • Resistance exercises and exercises where the arms are lifted above chest height are not appropriate for patients who have had a bypass surgery, valve surgery, or those who have had chest surgery within the last 12 weeks.
  • Make sure you have a bottle of water available.
  • Please do the Warm up video exercise before taking part in the exercise videos.

These exercises have been chosen by our exercise physiologists and are safe for cardiac rehab patients to perform.

Please remember to watch the video all the way through before starting exercise so that you know what to expect, and what you will need.

Make sure to read the post above the video before starting too. It may have additional instructions.

Please click the links below to start the exercise videos.
