Sarah, Exercise Physiologist and Louise, Cardiac Rehab Nurse supported Ray a 70 year old patient with his rehab during lockdown. Ray is so happy to be back at his allotment and walking his dog, he wanted to say what a fantastic service Heart Care has been and wants to award us all with a medal!

Well we have managed to work a bit of magic and have awarded some of our staff with a shiny virtual medal!

What to do in an emergency

If you experience any chest tightness/discomfort/pain, or symptoms similar to your Heart Attack/previous Angina, please follow 1. If your Chest Pain is unbearable Dial 999 for an ambulance Otherwise – • Sit down and stay calm • If the pain does not ease after 30-60 seconds Take GTN (spray or tablets) • Wait 5 minutes • If the pain has gone – REST • If not repeat the GTN •Wait 5 more minutes AFTER 10 MINUTES AND TWO GTN SPRAYS - IF YOU ARE STILL IN PAIN DIAL 999 Read more
