Heart Care Healthy Living is a local charity that helps the communities of Walsall, Sutton Coldfield and the surrounding areas to recover and manage illnesses such as cardiovascular disorders, circulatory disorders and chronic lung disease.

What to do in an emergency

If you experience any chest tightness/discomfort/pain, or symptoms similar to your Heart Attack/previous Angina, please follow 1. If your Chest Pain is unbearable Dial 999 for an ambulance Otherwise – • Sit down and stay calm • If the pain does not ease after 30-60 seconds Take GTN (spray or tablets) • Wait 5 minutes • If the pain has gone – REST • If not repeat the GTN •Wait 5 more minutes AFTER 10 MINUTES AND TWO GTN SPRAYS - IF YOU ARE STILL IN PAIN DIAL 999 Read more
