Suzanne and Phil Conquer Snowdonia Summit!

We couldn't be prouder of Suzanne and Phil! These incredible individuals took on the tough challenge of climbing Snowdonia's 1085m summit and completely smashed it! Their grit, determination, and the generosity of supporters like you have already raised over £5,000—and donations are still pouring in!

Hear from Suzanne herself:

"We did it! Thank goodness we had trained. It was much more difficult than I expected—not just because of the climb, but mainly due to the uneven terrain we had to walk on. So many steps! At times, it felt like we were rock climbing, and with hindsight, an agility course might have been more helpful! 😂

The day began with fog surrounding the summit, and we were hopeful for clear skies by 1pm, but unfortunately, the fog persisted. Though we had clear views halfway up, the remainder was a climb through fog with no idea if we were near any ridges.

When we reached the top, it was still completely shrouded in fog—I’ve been told the views last year were astonishing, but I didn’t need to know that! Our guide, Mark, who’s a Rotary friend of Phil, has plenty of experience guiding and chose the best path through the rocks (he was like a mountain goat!).

Jamie, Phil's personal trainer, also joined us and was invaluable, offering a guiding hand up and down the larger rocks. Special thanks to both Mark and Jamie for their time and incredible support. It was a great achievement, though we were very relieved to return to the car park! Thank you to everyone who has already donated—your support means the world to us!"
