Exercise
Exercise describes a variety of activities but the most beneficial form for health benefits stimulates the cardiovascular system. Large muscle groups are stimulated for prolonged of time causing them to demand more oxygen, which is supplied through blood by the lungs and heart.

For members of the general public one of walking, cycling, rowing and swimming should be performed for at least 30 minutes on five or more separate days in the week. Breathing should be heavier and more frequent but, contrary to popular belief, exercisers should not become short of breath. Breathing must be controlled and, with the exception of swimming, should allow individual to talk during exercise.

The form of exercise chosen will depend upon individual preference therefore, for those who are sufficiently fit, games and other activities such as aerobics and jogging may prove to be more enjoyable than those already mentioned.
